ive never cooked fish before and my hubby really want fish fillet for dinner, but he’s being cheap and doesn’t want to go out for dinner!

you could cook them in a stew with peas, carrots, etc.
or, you can sprinkle with salt pepper, etc. then fry on both sides. also, add a little cooking wine. (coat both sides) they should turn flaky. BUT DONT DEEP FRY.
