japan sushi
Do you think that sushi is raw fish?

It’s not. Sushi refers to the way the rice is made – sushi rice. There are many varieties of sushi. In North America, sushi rolls are very popular, much moreso than in Japan. Sushi rolls also often don’t have any fish in them, raw or cooked.

Then, there’s the typical Japanese sushi which is sushi rice topped with something, usually raw fish, but not necessarily. It could be topped with egg, cooked fish, or something else.

There’s also a type of sushi which is just plain sushi rice inside of a pocket made of a type of tofu. Absolutely no fish in it.

Anyway, just wanted to let those who don’t know this already to be exposed to this information.

interesting. Thanks for sharing!
