How long should I fry a whole Fish?
I’m planning to go camping and go fishing. When cooking… how long should I fry each side… Keep in mind I will be deep frying in oil.
You should always bake whole fish as it is very difficult to pan fry evenly unless of course the are tiddlers.
Don’t deep fry as there is no need, a little butter and oil is all that you need to coat the fry pan.
Depending on the thickness it will vary the cooking time.
You can keep an eye on the progress by checking how the underside is doing by carefully lifting the upper side with your spatula and look in the gut cavity at the flesh on the underside.
Turn and do the same.
Good Luck with your fishing and take it from me, the most beautiful tasting fish, is the one you catch yourself, cooked on the banks of a river at dawn.
